Science Fair Task Deadline




Completion of the following tasks on time will be considered in the grading of this project:
Date Task
Aug. 26-28 Introduction deadlines, discussion of topics, problem questions, research plan.
Sept. 10-11 Problem statement due (if approved by teacher, work on project can begin at once. If students wish to begin experiments early, as in the case of plant studies, earlier approval by teacher of problem statement should be requested by the student).
Sept. 18-19 Define and refine topics for research.
Sept. 30 Early turn-in of sources located for research— minimum 5 sources, no more than 2 of the  sources may be encyclopedias, no more than 3 sources can be internet sites. (Use proper bibliographic format).
Oct. 9 Rough draft of research report due. Update on project progress (will be filled in on a form in class).
Oct. 20 First draft of procedure due
Nov. 2-4 First draft of results, conclusions (Experiments should be complete by now, only triptych preparation and final draft of research paper to do).
Nov. 12 Set up projects. Make sure this includes triptych, research, and log.
Nov. 13 Science Fair judging. Gym open only to judges.
Nov. 15 Projects on display after Mass.
